Our activity has two components
1. A half-day educational visit to a rehabilitation centre for patients recovering from mental health illnesses.
2. A stress-relieving activity in which therapy dogs will be brought onto the campuses of both medical schools in Hong Kong around exam period. There will also be educational leaflets, “goodie” bags, and a “Positivity Board” available to further enhance our cause.
Area of Activity
-To reduce the stigma associated with mental health illnesses among local medical students. Surveys on students’ opinions/views will be conducted before and after to assess whether we have been successful in reducing any stigma.
– To help medical students relieve stress to improve their mental well-being. Qualitative surveys will be conducted after activities. Participants will be asked to complete the surveys within the week after the activity is held.
