The purpose of the project is to be able to provide basic knowledge to medical students about sign language in order to maintain communication with people who have hearing impairment in case of a medical emergency or any other medical activity. With a 12 week duration course at the Medical Union in Uruguay and a test to measure the impact, participants got to learn the art of sign language.
