General Description
PalSpain : refugee children camp+clinical practice in Palestine, in order to raise awareness in university community with own experience when back to Spain of the acquired knowledge. This way, we hope to promote awareness, especially of the university community, about the situation of constant violation of Human Rights that the
Palestinian people is living nowadays.
This volunteer project is the result of collaboration between two Federations of Medical Students: on the one hand, IFMSA-Spain; as counterpart, IFMSA-Palestine. Approximately 12 students (or more, depending on the number and quality of the applications) carry out the volunteer project in Palestine for a period of one month, which includes two fundamental pillars: half of the time is dedicated to a summer camp with refugee children from Aida Camp (Bethlehem), while the other half is focused on the students of Health Sciences to do clinical practises in different hospitals in the same city. While these activities take part, they shall attend as much training courses as possible. For this purpose, the volunteer group will travel throughout Cisjordania (the entrance to Gaza may not be allowed)
